Do you remember "Lion Heart" that I made last year? Well..... "Brave Heart" is his Brother.
I had just as much fun creating "Brave Heart" as I did in creating "Lion Heart" & I just love, love, love the way he turned out.
He didn't reach reserve on Ebay, so I've lowered his reserve & put him up for grabs on my site.
His beautiful blue realistic glass doll eyes are surrounded with hand sculpted eyelids. Airbrushed brown & black detailing surround his eyes & snout.
His nose is hand stitched in black perle cotton & waxed to a natural sheen.
I have given him a very happy open mouth with an ultra suede natural pink tongue. His mouth opens & closes & is extensively needle scuplted, even giving him lips.
As with all of my bears, his face is needle sculpted to enhance his handsome, regal features even more.
He measures 19 1/2" from the top of his head to the tips of his toes & 15" seated.
He has a double jointed head for more expression & poseability & is made from a gorgeous golden brown mohair with very dark brown tips.
As with all of my bears, all of his seams are double stitched.
His feet & paws are made from tan wool felt & have needle sculpted toes with black claw stitches & brown shading around the edges for more depth.
He has wire armature in his arms & legs & is fully & securely bolt & lock nut jointed for lot's of fun "poseability". (He can stand on his own with very little balancing).
He is filled with steel shot, plastic pellets & poly fill (and tons of Love & Care) for a nice weighty feel (steel shot in his feet to make standing easier).
Over his heart, I have used bronze beads & thread to sew on his antique brass Lions Head Drawer Pull.
I have made him a Scottish wrap from blue & green plaid wool fabric & a leather belt using a vintage silver pin for his buckle.
Everything is removeable.
